There is an auto-submit tied to the onchange event for
the first field. The second field just shows that the
page has reloaded.
So type something in the first field and then click on
the pulldown.
The page gets reloaded. But the pull-down persists.
If your browser window has scroll bars on the right you can
use your down-arrow key to slide the page up and the
left-over pulldown menu will be left behind while the other
controls slide up the screen with the rest of the page.
Clicking anywhere on the screen will clear the artifact.
